  • There and Not There: Memories of Hummingbirds and Mountains

I paint to surprise myself and travel through memory. When I'm painting, each mark evokes past marks and touches off a kaleidoscope of open doors in my memory. I can bounce around in there free from the constraints of linear time. These paintings are the result of memories that crystalize as they are painted.

  • Birds

I use multiple mediums in one piece in order to create a certain amount of chaos I can rub up against to make openings for the unexpected to happen.
